Table of contents:
Information:
| Type of emulsion: | Thincoat-document emulsion, traditional cubic crystal technology, steeply working | |||
| Sensitization: | orthochromatic |
Since an industry standard for determining speed of orthochromatic sensitized documentfilms has not been defined, an information about standard ISO value cannot be given.
For starters one should begin with an exposure setting of ISO 25/15° (based on incident light measurement, light meter pointed from object to camera).
Depending on application and working procedures a light meter setting of ISO 50/18° may be suitable.
Individual tests for determining optimum exposure are recommended.
RMS (x 1000): 6,0
Contrast 1000:1 350 lines/mm
7,5 µm (without base).
All given informations are approximate and based on a working temperature of 20°C/68 F and 30 sec. agitation.

| Wetting agent: | LABOR PARTNER MASTER PROOF | 1 Minute |
Reversal processing for producing b&w slides:
MACOPHOT ORT25 can be reverse processed either by using b&w reversal developing kits available from Kodak and Tetenal. Furthermore the Agfa SCALA Process can be applied. In case neither process is available, you can set up your own chemistry. We have incorporated a formula on the backside.
Note:
Depending on developing times in the first developer, different effective film speeds can be achieved (ranging from ISO25/15° - ISO 100/21°) Individual testing is recommended.
Bluetoning with LABOR PARTNER LP-AZUR is especially recommendable for presentation slides.
The blue (background) / white (text, graphics) contrast is pleasant for the eyes and less tiring.
This procedure is more fade-resistant and stable while projecting than comparable
blue-slides based on DIAZO- or E-6 processes. Best projection results are
achieved by underexposure, as LP-AZUR will add density to the image. For
more information, please refer to our Technical application sheet LP-AZUR
Bluetoner.
Usually processing will take place in total darkness. If needed one may use a deep red filter for the safety light in sufficient distance.
To check illumination intensity / duration individual testing is
recommended.
Based on its attributes, the MACOPHOT ORT25 Ortho-Film will be the perfect choice for achieving high quality results for use in many areas such as graphic, scientific, medical, astrophotogaphic or institutional applications.
Furthermore, MACOPHOT ORT25 Ortho-Film may also be used for photographic halftone work.
By doing so, extremely sharp and fine grained enlargements can be achieved due to the high resolution of up to 350 lines/mm (by taking the incorrect tonal reproduction of reds into consideration) which surpasses those made by conventional panchromatic negatives.
Unexposed MACO MACOPHOT ORT25 Ortho-Films should be stored in a cool and dry place before use. After deep freezing storage, unopened packages should be allowed to warm up for about 2 hours.
Exposed films should be developed soon.
